Calculator
What would a business loan actually cost you?
Set the amount, the rate and the term. You will see the monthly payment, the total interest and a month-by-month schedule with nothing hidden.
Estimate your repayments
Drag the sliders or type the figures. Everything updates as you go.
Your estimate
These figures are indicative and intended as a guide only. They are not a statement of the repayments that will be charged on any actual loan, and they do not constitute a loan offer. Your rate depends on the lender, your trading history and any security offered.
Repayment schedule
| Month | Payment | Interest | Capital | Balance |
|---|
Early payments are mostly interest; later ones are mostly capital. That is why settling early saves less than people expect.
What the calculator does not know
Three things move the real number, and none of them can be guessed from an amount and a rate.
Your actual rate
The rate you are offered depends on trading history, sector, security and the lender. The figure you typed in is an assumption, not a quote.
Arrangement fees
Most lenders charge an arrangement fee, often 1-5% of the facility. Some add it to the balance, some deduct it from the advance.
Repayment structure
Not every facility is straight-line monthly. Some have capital repayment holidays, some are interest-only with a balloon at the end.
